Wolfbeast destroyed me…

Saturday night was the WWHRD? show, which went really well, the turn out was awesome. I did get a bit (!!) drunk though, i blame it on being medicated for so long, i shouldnt have drunk really, how stupid of me. i didnt even think about it. boo. We dropped off the Wolfbeast Destroyer shirts we’d made last week, which kept us at work late last week a few times. Here’s some pics -

i am so tired. my sinus’s are filled up with white spirit fumes and we have been up since oh god o’clock to get a delivery that didn’t turn up until 3pm. We have made a bunch more stuff, and are working like mentals. Here are some new shirts we made for Worthless Nights Records –  a mix of tie dye and white with a black print.

Boo is going mental because a dog broke in and stole her food and she thinks mikee’s feet are the enemy, like if she was a murderer and his foot was denzels good finger in the bone collecter…. destructo time.

in other news i made my hairs a new shade of “auburn” and it was on purpose and i love it. im  not tempted to go back to blonde yet so im doing good…

so thats that. boring boring bore. we are party this weekend so should everyone else be, go to the marquee, it is a multiple party night of which im sure we will start off with good intentions and have a couple of beers, then fran will get all into shots and start buying them for everyone and Mikee, as he just leant over me and said “im not drinking shots” will say that again but then he will drink shots and he will be drunk and men will try to kiss him and i will lay on the floor and be loud. it will end up as a mess. but we will be taking the new Wolfbeast Destroyer shirts with us that we started tonight so make sure you buy one.

OH HAI

Hello!  I havent posted for ages. how terrible of me. i am working hard and being pretty ill at the same time. once i get over one bit of the ill something else comes along to get me. but anyway im not going to be boring with that. this is a bunch of stuff i’ve done in the last week…

This was on a lovely lady’s foot, she wanted a combination of filligree esque work and some little elements like the ankh that she’d brought in that were personal to her.

Mikees foot that he finally letr me colour in… this phot was taken after about 48 hours, it was all puffy because he kept it wrapped up in clingfilm.

did some colour on fran, she its tougher than anyone i swear.

we’ve been doing a hell of a lot of print work at the moment too, we’ve done patches for the bands Wolfbeast destroyer and Fuck your haircut, via Eat a book records, and we are in the process of getting a bunch more things done, like some tye die specials……

oh, and we also did two new shirt designs which look amazing and will be printed in the next couple of weeks. but i cant show them yet.

Muchacha…

So, I’ve had some pretty unwanted time off and its felt like forever, even though its only been about 10 days. I have used this week of not being at work to a. sleep much and b. catch up on some work and drawing and things. And i did sneak in and do some tattooing when i didnt feel tooo bad..

This was just a quick thing i did this week, a pretty sentimental thing. its on the low part of the ankle, so the photo flats it out and doesnt really do it justice. cant wait to see it healed.

i am gutted though this week, we finished watching prison break season 2 before 3 has arrived on dvd. its way too gripping. i wouldnt be able to cope if i had to watch it episode by episode, week by week on tv.

just for kicks…

yesterday a friend of mine came in to get a tattoo that he has meant to get for a long time. All his friends had the same tattoo and he was the last one to get it. for fun, when we were done doing the serious stuff, i tattooed the name of one of his friends onto his, umm how do i put this politely? his buttock…

its a little grubby, i didnt want to spend too much time cleaning the ink off! im actually quite pleased with it, even though it was a bit of fun and a joke, i just wrote it out in my own cursive hand writing and i think it looks pretty nice. maybe i might start trying to get people to have names in my own handwriting from now on!

and so this is christmas, and a happy new whatever…

we had a christmas and it involved family and other peoples, dogs and food, and other christmas stuff. Mikee and i cooked a christmas lunch because we are well good at stuff and made the hardest yorkshire puddings known to man. they could have been used as bricks.

my stepdads parents sent some wierd biscuits from ireland to him, which they do every year, and he doesnt like them, but doesnt dare tell them. so he gave them to us. and they are not very nice. They are called kimberlys. but the photo is back to front. go figure.

i got a bunch of awesome stuffs for xmas which was lovely, for example i got a desert sessions record which means we need to get a working record player to experience its audible grace

My parents gave me an insane gift too, the first time i’ve ever got anything from them that wasnt a for the moment gift – it is a massive, near A1 bound leather folio of Richard Timms prints, each one is certified and signed, and inside the folio someone had put a bunch of other prints of wacky stuff and a really amazing watercolour of the seaside.

this small break from work has been lovely, we have done some awesome stuff, got to hang out with the brothers, and play uno with the whole family. I think it was the best christmas i’ve had for many years, the company was much appreciated and lovely. I felt a bit sorry that M didnt get to see his family but he is stuck in norfolk because it is a million miles away from his familys house. boo.

talking of boo, she got a whole can of food for xmas because she is greedy.

one thing i think everyone should rememeber as we go into the new year is that always remember who your friends are and pick who you trust wisely. When it comes to Work, family, relationships and friendships, dont let people blind you with lies and misplaced hope, and dont let people take advantage of you just because you care about them. sometimes its better to say no than to go along with things and end up worse off anyway. stand up for yourself, dont be a puppet on a string.

This coming year i promise i wont be a mug anymore and i hope you wont either.

Meredith Dittmar

I have stumbled upon some work by a poly clay artist called Meredith Dittmar, and its beautiful. Her work combines Cute creature characters with shapes and patterns that make me think of maths and kaleidoscopes. have a look at her website here – http://www.corporatepig.com/ and see what you think.

Im not usually into things so cute but there is something about her craftsmanship and creativity that is completley aesthetically pleasing, and fascinating that she molds each little element herself.

Dog painting as a christmas present for my mother. i had a long story to go with this but i just decided not to bother.  this dog however is a. dead and b. was very mean. but my mum loved her like a child. she was a great dane and was a mean old thing. and massive. and i spent my formative years coated in coarse white dog hairs because of her. bless.

is it party night tonight? i reckon so. im so frustrated im going to drink myself into a corner. if you see me, pls buy me a drink and help me into that corner, i need it this week.

Its snowing today, its a snow day. i thought about putting a bet on snow on christmas day but its been rendered pointless. I am currently sitting with my legs inside the quilt on the bed and thinking about small non grown up cats. I sort of hate winter. I want to watch films. I feel very restless.

I find it interesting the amount of people that read this blog everyday, and the amount of people that google me by name every day, its fascinating. Do i know any of you? are you people that know me or are interested in me? or are you people who want to find out things about me for bad voodoo? ha, imagine that… the wordpress dashboard is a very interesting thing, in that it tells me what you are clicking on and reading and how you got here and how many of you looked today. the only thing it doesnt tell me is who you are. So let me take this post to say hi to you…

hello! I am emma. I make things. you might have gathered that. I change my hair all the time, its pretty annoying for people. I just cut it off and then I make it long again. I drink coffee and I smoke cigarettes. I dont do drugs. I do drink but not that often.  I have a cat named Boo, and I am about her 58th owner, she is an unwanted cat. She is not very cuddly unless its on her own terms and she hates to be picked up. She is beautiful. I have this friend named Fran and she is lovely, if you ever meet her then you should say hi to her because she is lovely. I own a shop in which I do new things everyday with Mikee. Mikee is also extremely lovely, and you should say hi to him when we are putting on shows together in Norwich. He is from Cornwall Via Bracknell Via god knows where.  He is a photographer and drawer and he is currently making a functional darkroom in the shop. I like screenprinting, its something I taught myself to do years ago and I do it most days.  I make silver jewellry – it tends to be something that looks like a twig. one day I will be richer beyond my wildest dreams, but not because I want to, but because I work hard. I work so much I have hardly anytime to do anything else and sometimes it drives me crazy. I emphatically believe in karma, and sometimes I wonder why people are mean to me.

here are some secrets about me that I wouldnt want you to know but I will tell you anyway…

I regulary read Audrey Kitchings blog and think she’s pretty awesome.

I dont wash my coffee cup up properly, instead choosing to rinse it in cold water briefly before making a new coffee. this is because I have my coffee black and I figure that its pretty nothingy.

I dont wear socks and in summer I go bare foot as much as possibel because my feet may smell bad.

so there you go, that is for you secret readers. thankyou for reading my blog, its pretty cool to think people do, even if it is because you were looking on the interwebs for saucy stuff and google pointed you here, for that I apologise.

This week i have made new things in the shape of tattoos, shirts, bags and junk. here are some tattoos for your viewing pleasure.

Tuesday night was fun. we slept on the floor in the doorway and everyone slept on all the other floors. small party gathering, lots of tattooing, crocus got thier nicknames tattooed on them. NY Hill Stillness were lovely. everyone was in fact.

“system of a down were pretty heavy”

The last few days  ”spare time” (meaning the hours between 6pm and 3am) have been used to design and screen print shirts and tote bags, of which are now for sale. the design was something i knocked up and the shirts are grey with a black print and purple tie dye with white print. totes are either black or mixed colour print. if you want to buy one you can mail me at hai@emmasailor.co.uk or head on over to the vinosangre myspace and talk to me or mikee about it.

www.myspace.com/vinosangre. a new addition to the growing collection of interwebual things i have to keep tabs on. im trying to step up screen printing, so that i can do it as more than a favour or hobby. Mikee is helping me out with it and im going to teach him how to print so he can get on it too and then we can produce twice as much. He did the typography for the patches and i did the embelishments. For the last few nights we’ve been knocking out a bunch of patches for the bands Baptists and Crocus and in the new year we’re going to upgrade all the equipment so we can do more than one colour t-shirts. which will be scary and fun and expensive. boo.

New things my little lovlies..

so. i have been slaving away on some shirts for a band and here is a little preview of them for you. i wont put the finished thing up because its for them to unveil not me. as soon as they have recieved them then i will put it up but i dont want to be unfair to them! but have a gander wont you…

each shirt has a hand stamped and numbered tag attached and all have been hand screened by me with my now grubby little hands.

i also made a drawing of a dragon. im kinda well into it.
